Exchanging project files between Mac and PC

Explorer ,
May 20, 2018 May 20, 2018

Hi all!

Do you think anyone could tell me if it is at all possible to exchange project files between Mac and PC versions of Premier pro. We are a two-man company and I use a PC but the other guy uses a Mac so he  was wondering if we can transfer the project files between systems. I have told him it's very unlikely because they are two different operating systems that he asked me to ask the question on here.

I want him to do the rough-cut because that takes me most time and then I can come in and make the relevant changes to the footage for the medium and final cut.

Thanks

Hey there

There usually no issues at all other than font installment and/or compatibility. Most fonts are cross platform and can be installed on either OS.

We go back and forth all the time with no problems.

Thx,

Steve

Hi all!

I have found the answer on another post. Are there any technical things I need to consider before transferring the project files over.

Thanks

Keith

Plug-ins is one thing you'll have to duplicate on both systems.
