Export 4k video at 60fps

New Here ,
Sep 27, 2014 Sep 27, 2014

Is there a way to export 4k video at 60fps?  Currently it seems I have to drop the resolution to keep a 60fps export or drop the framerate to keep the export at 4k.  Timeline settings are 4k and 59.94 fps but Premiere won't let me export a file with those specs.

23.0K

What version of Premiere?

What format are you trying to export to?

h.264 has a 4K preset, "YouTube 2160p 4K" that supports 60fps.

I'm using Premiere CC- The only Youtube presets I have go from 720 to 480- do I need to install an update?  Where do I find it?

Premiere CC isn't specific enough, I'm afraid. There have been eight releases under the CC banner. Please report the exact version number shown in the About box.

The current version is 2014.0.1 (aka 8.0.1). If you're on 7.x, then you can install the latest through Creative Cloud/Apps. Note that CC2014 is a separate install, meaning that CC7 and CC2014 can coexist on your computer.

Regardless of the exact version of CC, you should have more YouTube presets than you report. In CS6 and CC (7.x), PPro/AME had three 1920x1080 presets. In CC2014, the number of h.264 presets was reduced by using the new "Based on Source" option to cover frame rate variants.

Increase Profile and Level to max first.

Then set framesize and framerate.

Well I dont know if its a bug in 8.0.

I cannot test this for you as I am on 8.2 which is the latest version.

You might be able to update from here if the update does not show in the CC app.

Downloaded

Adobe Premiere Pro 2014.2.0 Update for CC 2014202 MB12/16/2014Release 8.2.0

But it show me v 8.1

4k 60fps works only with "h.264 youtube 4K" settings

If make custom setting then the quality is very bad.

How to update it to 8.2? run the update again?

Hi Seregal,

But it show me v 8.1

How to update it to 8.2? run the update again?

You probably do have it. Check the "About Premiere Pro" screen. See the bottom of that screen (where the red box is) for the actual version number.

8.1 or 8.2.jpg

Thanks,
Kevin
