Hi,

The Format is called ' Windows Media'. But I'm not sure in which version of CC you are working in,

but that should do the trick.

Thanks

Jannick

.WMV can not be export from Premiere pro cc on MAC or AME on MAC. You will have to use a video converter to achieve the same.

Also, check the following post - https://community.adobe.com/t5/media-encoder/exporting-to-wmv/td-p/9188115

There was a plugin that would allow you to export wmv's from within many programs.    It's called flip4mac.  not sure if it's still being sold or if it stil works, but worth a google.

looks like flip4mac is defunct.  Seems like telestream has a new product.

The only reason I really ever needed WMV's was if I was providing videos for a client for use in powerpoint in windows.  Although powerpoint could work with other media formats, wmv's were the only way I could successfully embed videos in a powerpoint page.    Luckily I haven't had to deliver wmv's in years.

You might ask whoever needs the wmv's if you can deliver in another format like mp4's which seem to be almost universally accepted at this point.

UniConverter (formally Wondershare Converter) does do WMV's on Mac. It's been so long since I've needed to create a WMV - so I just went and tested if it works. It does! And the WMV seems to play fine in VLC too.

So this is a (paid) option if you must do WMV's on Mac.

As others have indicated - do you really need WMV?

H.264/MP4 is pretty much the accepted universal delivery format now.
