File format not supported

I downloaded a smooth transition presets to Premiere pro cc 2017 and tried to import it to the presets folder, it loaded and then said "File format not supported". And i don´t know what to do!

Remember, it's a preset. You have to import to your Presets in the Effects panel. Just right click on Presets and click on Import Presets...

What did the file full name was for you, i had to replace .xml with .prfpset acourding to a comment.

I have already tried to download a different preset from the same site and that still didn't work, still came up "file not supported".

Did you just download and import it?

What comment?

You dont have to change anything, it downloads as a .prfpset and import as such in Premiere.

Do you have File-extensions turned on in Windows Explorer.

Thanks for this tip. I think I have imported the preset but when I drag it to the timeline, there is a crossed out hand and I'm unable to apply it. Any advice on this part of the problem?

When i am importing presets it says file formast not supported. i don't know what to do pls help!!!

Ahhhrg, found the solution! Adobe user interface unfriendliness at its best 😉

1. Top Menu bar click "Graphics"

2. Click "Install Motion Graphics Template"

3. You'll find them with the same name in the / root folder of Essential Graphics
