I am interested in learning more about multi-cam.
I’ve learned to make multi cam clips and to edit them. I get a clip with an icon that has equal bars in it.
After I did the multi cam camera selections I get a file in Assets with the same name, but it shows an icon of varied bars.
I have seen some people refer to flattening the sequence once done with selecting your camera angles. I’ve not done that.
I drag that into my main timeline and can edit blank space out as I need to. I just cannot change the camera selections.
I am able to export videos to YouTube that look as I want them to.
Should I be flattening the multi cam clip/sequence?
Thanks! Gary

Flattening a multicam is more about making it easier to lay on say b-roll, titles & graphics, do color-correction, that sort of thing. If it's not an issue for you, well ... is it an issue?

Thank you!
I do some simple titles as overlays(?). Just to put some text info in a clip.I don't do anything fancy or special effects. Just doing tutorials and how to's. I would eventually like to learn to incorporate some Power Point slides. But, that's another topic.
Thank you! Gary

You only need to do this if you're sending your project out to a professional colorist or sound mixer. There is no need to flatten if you're doing all the work in PP.
