After upgrading Premiere to the latest version, I'm having problems with dynamic linking AE compositions.
I'm using AE compositions for opening titles and various overlays. After importing to Premiere, the original text has correct font styling.
But after changing the text, the font changes...
Any ideas how to fix it? It was working just fine before upgrading.

I have almost the same question, but I created Motion Graphics Template with AE, and when I export this video with Motion Graphics the font is not OK anymore.
After Effect:

Video export:
Any ideas?

I'm having the same issue. It is specific to Live text templates from After Effects within Premiere Pro. The fonts look fine until I change the text through the template options in Premiere.
Both Premiere Pro and After Effects are updated to 2019, and I made sure to update all of the project files used for both Premiere and AE, but that didn't correct the issue.

I think it is not related to zbeegniev but I tried like this, maybe guyinacube it will help you.
I created sequence with drag and drop Motion Graphics Template on empty Timeline - so Premiere created Sequence.
I tried to export with template Match Source high bitrate and it worked.
I tried also to export with Youtube template and it is OK.
So this is Sequence window from Motion Graphics Template:
So I copy pasted everything from my old Sequence to the new one, and that is pretty much workaround.
Did that helped?

Anže

Hello,
There is a known issue related to fonts that Adobe is actively working on.
We are investigating this issue and working to expediting a fix in the short term.

After upgrading to the new Premiere, my old AE compositions work just fine... but if I want to edit those, AE has to convert them and those converted ones won't even import to the Pr project.

Hello Wes
I installed the update for PP2019 and the font issue with Dynamic Link is still there.
When can we expect another update to resolve this issue?

Can you describe the issue you're seeing in greater detail?
The patch resolved the issue for most users so it would be good to understand more details.
Are you working with Mogrts / Templates?
Has it occurred with more than one font?
Is it an Adobe or external font?
Would you like to share a small project that reproduces the issue?
If so, feel free to send me a PM.
Wes

Hello Wes
I'm working with a Template; we are directly importing the AE project file
into PP.
We have not tried it with any other font as this font has been selected as
part of the style guide for the television show my team is working on.
The font is an external font called "BorisBlackBloxx"

Thanks Christopher,
Have you updated both Pr and AE? (just confirming)
Can you describe in greater detail what you are seeing? Does it just show the wrong font when rendered in Premiere?
If you update the AE project and save then import does it make any difference? (AE Version has been a factor for some)

Hello Wes
Both software versions have been updated. It shows the wrong font in
Premiere; it looks like it changes to Helvetica.
I have tried updating the AE project and importing the new project, it
makes no difference.
Kind regards,

I'm using the newest revisions available of both the AE (Version 16.0.0; build 235) and the Pr (Version12.1.2; build 69) on a High Sierra MacOS. Currently, when I create a composition in AE and try to import it into the Pr project, Pr doesn't really see the composition in the aep file.
Compositions made using a previous AE version seem to work.
I'll try rolling back the AE to the previous version.
I switched to Adobe from Vegas and as much as impressed I was (and still am) with how Pr integrates with AE, this issue I've been having is very disappointing...

Please, ignore my last post. Stupid Mac insists on starting the older version 12.1.2 of Pr instead of the 13.1 o_O

But I still have the problem with the font changing after modifying the original text...
Composition right after dropping onto the timeline...
The same composition after changing text...
This is a new AE compilation created in AE 16.0.0
...imported into Pr in version 13.0.1

This is exactly the same for me except we are using OSX Mojave.

I just updated to OSX Mojave and updated Premiere Pro CC and After Effects CC. Every program is the most recent version. As soon as I updated I started experiencing this problem. Whenever I import an AE composition into a PP project, it looks fine until I update the text in the Effects Controls panel. As soon as I modify the text Premiere switches the font. Doesn't matter if it's a new AE composition or one built before I updated. Happens every time.
I see Adobe was working on something, but that was 2 months ago. Any further word about when this will be fixed?

I have the same issue here with MacOS 10.13.6, PP v13.0.1 and vAE16.0.0. Everything is updated to the latest version and the issue is persisting. Any update about a possible fix from Adobe?

Good news: an update is available (AE 16.0.1 and PP 13.0.2) which fixes this issue!
