From the PP timeline, can you access audio clips in Soundbooth rather than in Audition?

Hi,

I ask this purely because I can't afford the subscription for more than one Adobe app now I've upgraded.

In CS5, when I used to right-click on an audio file, an option would appear in the menu to edit it in Soundbooth.

Right-clicking now defaults to Audition (which I can't afford to buy).

Is there a way of telling PP to make Soundbooth my default option for editing audio clips, and for it to appear on the menu when right-clicking on the audio clip?

It would save me having to click "REVEAL IN EXPLORER" then right-clicking on the file then "OPEN WITH" then clicking on "SOUNDBOOTH".

Just trying to streamline a few processes!

Very many thanks for any help on this.

Dan

Hi danielc,

I assume you are using CC version of Adobe Premiere Pro. I understand that you wish to send an audio file from Adobe Premiere Pro CC to Adobe Soundbooth CS5 for editing. Unfortunately, this is not a possible workflow because, for linking two Adobe applications dynamically, the versions of both the applications should be the same.

Hence, the only option to edit an audio file by dynamic linking is to use Adobe Audition or you can open the audio file directly in Adobe Soundbooth and edit

Very many thanks Shivangi!

Very grateful to you for your answer. I think I'll have to find some extra cash to subscribe to the whole suite again!

Have a good day!
