So I dragged a video into Adobe Premier I filmed on my iPhone, but when I dragged it into the timeline, it's almost as if the video got cropped and I don't know hot to fix it. The bottom left thumbnail is what the video is supposed to look like, but the one on the right is whati t got cropped to.Screen Shot 2020-02-09 at 8.49.45 PM.png

Your Sequence Settings do not match your Source properties.

Are you doing this intentionally?

If not, create a new, empty sequence ( File > New > Sequence).

Click OK to whatever sequence settings are offered to you.

Drag the video clip into the sequence, Premiere will give you the option of changing the sequence settings to match the clip properties. Click on the button that says Change Sequence Settings.

You should now be good to go.

Quick workaround:
Transcode your footage in HandBrake and re-import into Premiere Pro.
