Dear Fellow Premiere Pro CC users,

I recently migrated from Sony's Vegas to Premiere Pro CC (latest version), and I'm wrestling to get a YouTube upload to show full screen on YouTube ( = without black bars).

Here's what I do...

My Top Menu > Sequence > Sequence settings are this...

ppcc1.JPG

And my Top Menu > File > Export > Media settings are this...

ppcc2.JPG

And the end result on YouTube shows black bars in top and bottom...

ppcc3.JPG

What am I doing wrong??

Looking forward to your expert input. Thanks so much,

Hans

Your sequence PAR is 1.33  but the export PAR is 1.0.

You are fully correct, Richard. Thanks so much. I already started to suspect that PAR (a new concept for me). Changed the Sequence PAR to 1.0 and the YouTube was full frame or black-border-free. Thanks so much for coaching.

PAR is pixel aspect ratio ... width to height of the individual pixels. Most cameras and devices shoot 'square' 1:1, but for some purposes, occasionally ratios of lower than 1.0 or higher are used. Put a 1.3 pixel on a 1.0 sequence gets a weird image, narrow and 'tall' in appearance. Put a 1.0 pixel on a 1.3 sequence, it's now 'fat' and short.
