Ghosted "Edit clip in Audition" pull down menu in Premiere CC 2017

I cannot roundtrip an audio clip into Audition CC 2017 from Premiere CC 2017. The menu item is ghosted, making the option unavailable. Why can't we roundtrip audio clips the way we ALWAYS have been able to in every single other version of Adobe Premiere going back to CS3? I have no qualms about saying that it infuriates me that Premiere 2017 was rushed to market with so many bugs and beta testing has been forced upon us paying customers to endure without any re-compensation. This is just another problem in a very, very, very long list of problems with Premiere CC 2017. El Capitan 10.11.6 MacPro

If you have the proper pairs of PrPro and Audition, and PrPro recognized Audition as an appropriate version, it works fine. So ... which number-dot-number versions do you have of both programs? And do NOT waste time with "latest" as the CC Desktop app is off so often on this that it's pathetic. Use the "Help/About" dialog in each program please.
