Global FX mute not disabling fx of nested sequence

So I'm doing Multicam cut and have colour corrected the footage.

To speed up scrubbing and keep playback smooth I hit "global FX mute".

When rolling clips I can see that the colour correction shows after I let go of the mouse.

It'll stick there for a second before it goes back to the raw version of the footage. But only once I see the neutral colours again I can carry on on with my playback.

This is super annoying.

1. because I can see that this frame is getting colour fx applied and global fx mute is on

2. it really breaks the flow of work when you have to wait for audio

hope someone has a workaround or answer.

This is a known bug and Adobe shows no interest in fixing it.  Has been around for several versions with no resolution.  It makes the FX mute function . . . moot.

Here we are 1-1/2 years later, and Adobe is purposefully ignoring this bug.  Typical.
