GoPro 90 fps comes in at 10 fps on sequence?

My new GoPro recorded 1080p video at 90 fps for slow motion, but it comes in Premier CC at 10 fps in the sequence. It says it is recorded at 90 fps under the project browser>properties. There are no 90fps options in the sequence. Any suggestions?

Depending on where you're at (PAL vs NTSC) and settings, that should probably be on a 23.976, 25, or 29.97 sequence for slo-mo.

So it will not show up as 90 fps on the sequence? When I change the sequence to the 25 fps, the footage remains at 90 fps? I then slow it down?

Am I better off shooting it at another fps settings for slow motion?

Well, that's correct ... late in the evening here, brain on fritz ... yea, full HD doesn't have to worry so much about PAL/NTSC I think.

90fps played on a 23.976 timeline doesn't need any changes ... it then is slo-mo.

That's the whole point of shooting high fps, to play it back at a 'normal' speed for smooth slo-mo appearance.

I just made a 25fps sequence, dragged the 90fps video on to it, and it played at the same speed as when playing the original raw file in VLC. It did not slow down.

It is also playing at the same apparent speed as it does on the sequences where I dragged the video files onto the "new item" icon (where it come in on the new sequence at 10fps in the sequence setting instead of the original 90fps) -  Boy, I am confused!

Have you tried right-clicking on the clip in the Project panel  and selecting "Modify/interpret footage" and setting a frame-rate there?

That is correct. To make it slomo you need to adjust the clip by changing the speed of the clip and using Optical Flow.

The 10 frames is not correct, new sequence should say 90 fps.

But set your gopro to PAL and change the setting to 100, that will give a more natural look.

The Timebase setting in the Sequence settings appears to have a limit of 60 fps. 90 comes in at 10... and is the same apparent speed at any Timebase setting in Premiere.

Gopro sessions 5 has a limit at 90.

I think the timebase setting that is showing is incorrect.

if you drag a clip into the new item icon the sequence is set to that framerate which in your case is 90.

I dragged it into the new item icon, and it came in at 10 fps....60 fps appears to be that highest it goes. See the attached screen save. It shows the project settings at 90 fps and the available settings for the frame rate in the sequnce.

Select sequence in the Project Windoe and read properties in the Preview Area.

Ahh, I see that if I go into the Sequence -right click> properties it says 90 fps.Thanks!

....But it's a mystery why when I go into the drop down Sequence Settings it's 10 fps....

It has to set itself to something as there is no 90 etc.
