GoPro Footage - Simple Question

New Here ,
Dec 26, 2019 Dec 26, 2019

Hey all - I'm having the typical trouble with GoPro footage. The footage looks great, except when viewed in the play-header / fullscreen play-header preview. That's where it gets grainy. No issues viewing the footage indepdendently / full-screen directly form the left panel preview / editing preview. Pictures below for reference.

Any clue what would cause this graininess in the bottom editing view?

Either playback is set at low resolution or sequence setting does not match.

Hard to tell as you have provided no information.

This new forum software is maddening. The images are nowhere near big enough. Then it allows you to click on the image and shows an image at best the same size and sometimes smaller.

Sorry, maybe the belwo screenshot will help. The issue is that the same clip is showing up grainy in the right editor, but looks fine in left the preview pane.

Thanks. It's not your screenshots it's the forum software.

Your editing sequence is not correct for the media. With the timeline selected you can click Sequence\Sequence Settings and post the screenshot of that. But if you right-click that clip in the Project window and select 'New sequence from clip' it will set the properties correctly for that clip - And if all the clips are the same, that my be how you want to edit this project. IE: It looks like you are shooting in kind of a square format rather than a more widescreen HD.

I am guessing this is 1440P in a HD timeline.
