GPU Acceleration doesn't work! BLACK SCREEN and Accelerated Render Error (-1609629695)

New Here ,
Sep 18, 2019 Sep 18, 2019

Hi,

Some H264 files (that one of them is attached) shows me black screen in PremierePro and when I try to render I get "Accelerated Render Error (-1609629695)" both PremierePro and Media Encoder. If I switch to Mercury Playback Engine Software Only it works bu too slow.

I have;

Windows 10 Pro

i7-9700K CPU @ 3.60GHz

GeForce GTX 1660Ti

64GB RAM

Kingston 240GB NVMe

All softwares and drivers up to date.

Same result on another and older PC. But this time I have rendered that but still I get black screen when editing. What could be the problem?

i7-4790K CPU @ 4.00GHz

GeForce GTX 960

If the export goes well with just MPE software it means there is an issue with the graphicscard.

Lateste driver? which one? Try a different one.

Did you try both the studio driver and game driver.

Alternative deleted section in the timeline at the given time in the error message and redo from scratch.

I am having the same issue. I have the latest drivers on my gpu and the latest version of premiere. Sometimes it goes away after turning off and on the computer, sometimes it comes back. Don't know how to fix it.

Hi,

Are you folks using a lot of GPU accelerated effects? Let us know a wee bit more about your timelines, the effects you are using, etc.

Thank You,

Hi,

There is no effect applied. I attached a sample video that doesn't work with GPU acceleration.
I tried to reset Premiere pro prefs, creating new project, reinstall GPU driver but nothing changed.

Hi Kevin, I am using the warp stabilizer in a lot of clips but I have always done that without this new issue.

Read this doc on what cuda does and does not do.

CUDA, OpenCL, Mercury Playback Engine, and Adobe Premiere Pro | Adobe Blog

I think its the file as it gives me also a black screen.

Might be a codec issue.

What is the origin of this file.
