Hi,

I have been experiencing a problem with the rendering process of Premiere Pro - hardware encoding is not available, which I find weird, since I think my PC meets the requirements.

My build:

  • Intel Core i5-8500
  • nVidia GeForce GTX 1060 3GB
  • ASRock Z370 Pro4
  • Adata 4x8GB DDR4 3000MHz RAM
  • Windows 10 64bit - version 1809
  • Premiere Pro version 13.1.2 (Build 9) - latest as of date of this post
  • Media Encoder version 13.1 (Build 173) - latest as of date of this post

Edit: I also use the nVidia Creator Ready driver, I will try the Game Ready driver, since the Creator driver hasn't been updated in a long while.

Media Encoder says the same thing, it also gets stuck at the end with 1 second left and never finishes to render the video.

Thank you for any help!

as a first step, clean the media cache

I guess you export to H.264 right? try Quicktime GoPro Cineform YUV 10 bit

and get back here with results please

Which encoding do you mean: the one that is done on the gpu or the one that uses the cpu?

Is this a self- or custom-built PC? If so, then it is very likely that your system's integrated Intel UHD Graphics is disabled since you have nothing whatsoever connected to the motherboard's video-out ports, and the only video connection is to the discrete PCIe graphics card. This is due to the iGPU (the Intel one) being set to "Auto" in the EFI by default. So, if you want BOTH hardware H.264/H.265 encoding AND MPE GPU acceleration, then you will need BOTH the iGPU and the discrete GPU enabled at the same time.
