I have recently watched this tutorial How To: Circle Crop Overlay - Adobe Premiere - YouTube and i wanted to know if there is a way to expand the circle gradually so it covers the entire screen. Thank you

Absolutely. I didn't watch the video, I just skimmed through it, but that's using an older technique that's not necessary anymore in the later versions of Premiere. Are you on one of the Creative Cloud versions? If so, you no longer have to make a track matte, you can simply:

Absolutely. I didn't watch the video, I just skimmed through it, but that's using an older technique that's not necessary anymore in the later versions of Premiere. Are you on one of the Creative Cloud versions? If so, you no longer have to make a track matte, you can simply:

  1. Select your clip and open the Effects Controls panel
  2. Twirl down the Opacity group
  3. Click the Ellipse icon to make a mask and reshape it to your liking
  4. Scrub the Mask Expansion parameter to fit your needs. You can also move the mask by clicking and dragging in the middle of it in the Program monitor.
  5. Set a keyframe (stopwatch icon) at your start time and with your start Mask Expansion value
  6. Go to your end time and set your Mask Expansion end value.
    1. This will create a new keyframe (diamond icon). If you want to delete a single keyframe you can select it and hit Delete, but if you want to delete all keyframes click the stopwatch icon.
  7. Hit Play to see your values interpolate over time.

Attached is a GIF screen recording showing how this is done.
