i am new and confused i am transferring videos over to premier but when i do it cuts out about 1/3 of the video and you just cant see it please help

yes in the video there are two people talking and when i put it into premier you can only see one person and the other persons shoulder

Make a new, empty sequence - go to the menu File > New > Sequence and  when the New Sequence box opens, click OK.

Drag the clip of the two people talking into the new, empty sequence you just made.

You will be prompted by Premiere to match the sequence settings to the source clip:

Click Change Sequence Settings.

Now do you see the entire frame of your source video in Premiere?
