Can you be more specific on what you mean by "Auto Align?"

You can only align clips inside the same graphic. The Align tools do not apply to clips on separate tracks.

To add a clip to a graphic, go to Graphics and Titles > New Layer > From File.

Thanks Paul. Is there a way to not lose audio when you add a clip as a
graphic?

With the item selected, you should able to "pin" it to another object in that same graphic. Using the Properties panel.
