Hi Guys
A client, who uses a MacBook needs to upload some .mts files to our platform so we can edit. They are in a Folder called AVCHD. However, unlike a PC, he cannot simply open that folder to upload the video files (they need to be sent in a couple of batches due to file size). I do not use Macs, so can any Mac users tell me how he can access the files to upload, please?
Regards,
Graham
It would be best for them to send you the AVCHD file complete, but if you don't want to do that, then have the mac guy:
Right click (control-click) on the AVCHD file and choose Show Package Contents on the drop down menu.
That will reveal a file called BDMV. Right click (control-click) on that file, and again choose Show Package Contents.
That will reveal a bunch of folders. Locate the folder called "Stream" and open it. The .mts files will be in there.

Thanks, Meg. I've passed this on and I'm waiting for the client to respond....

I second the notion that he should send the entire contents of the SD card. Things can go weird if you don't have that.

Thanks, Jim. yes, I'd prefer the full folder structure uploaded. Unfortunately the Mac didn't allow them to upload the AVCHD.
