How to Alter Composition Resolution (3330x2066) to Fit 1920x1080 Without Scaling or Strech

Hello everyone,

I am creating a montage with some very high resolution images (6720x4480) and the default resolution I am given when exporting is 3330x2066, which would be fine if it didn't put permenant bars on the side. I want to upload it to YouTube so 1920x1080 would be the optimal resolution, but that also consists of black bars.Clearly I have a problem with my aspect ratio, but I am unsure of how to fix this so that there aren't black bars on the sides of the video.

Is this an easily solvable issue, or will it require me to change the aspect ratio of all my photos? I mainly want to know for future use so that when using photos from my camera I can properly import them so I don't have black bars.

Thanks,

DJ

dkemp,

How's it going? Why not work with the images in a sequence that matches your frame size? You can change it in Sequence > Sequence Settings. Change to Editing Mode > Custom, then you can change your frame size to 6720 x 4480. Can you try that?

Thanks,
Kevin

Hey Kevin,

The only problem with this now is I will have to re scale everything to fit this new resolution, but I'll go through each one and see if this fixes the problem in the end. I've saved a copy of the project before making these changes incase I have the same out come or a worse outcome. I'll let you know what happens when I've made the changes.

Thanks,

DJ

youtube videos are usually 16x9.  Still images are often not.   You're gonna have to crop some of your images or live with the black bars.
