How to Archive Double System Synced footage

Is there any way to archive double system footage that is synced in the timeline?  In other words I want those synced clips available for other projects without the need to both track where the audio file is AND to constantly resync it to it's video.

Not quite sure what you're wanting here. I've no idea what "double system footage" means, to begin with. Perhaps you could give a more detailed explanation of your needs?

Footage using double system sound, ie. recorded seperately.  I know I can merge the audio and video within my project, but I'm wanting to see how others manage their "merged" file structure to be able to use the files in other projects, etc.  One way I can envision is making "merged" projects using "the date shot" as the project name and then importing from those projects into new projects.  What would be more ideal would be to be able to transcode to a lossless file format that could be copied independently of premiere, etc.

Ahh ... yes, that makes sense.

And I think, to make the same footage available for future use completely linked as you do, that exporting to a good high-quality plus low-compression digital intermediate form would be the only real solution. Otherwise, you'd have to re-link every time you used the media.

Either Merge clips in Project panel and export (queue) them to an intermediate or production format  or if you synced them in the timeline mark the clips and export (queue) the same
