Screen Shot 2020-04-20 at 4.01.50 PM.pngexpand imageHello! I am trying to animate videos so that they continuously scroll on top of each other. I want to do this for six columns of videos. So far, I've tried doing the first column. I thought I had it all figured out, I animated each video by changing the position in effect controls, etc. It took forever! And then when I played the clip, I realized I had done it wrong, as the result showed the videos moving at different speeds and stuff like that. I am wondering if there is an easier way for me to animate these videos, perhaps an effect that will allow me to do something similar?

I am definitely a beginner when it comes to Premiere so I am thinking there is definitely a much easier and smarter way for me to achiveve what I'm wanting to do and I just don't know about it.

Any ideas/help would be so appreciated!Screen Shot 2020-04-20 at 4.03.20 PM.pngexpand image

One way to do it would be to create a very tall sequence and get your videos arranged in that. Then you can drop that sequence into your main sequence and animate the position.

Another way to do it would be to create an adjustment layer above all of your videos and use the Transform effect from the Effects Panel to adjust the position of all of the videos underneath it. You would need to do a little juggling to move all the videos around and then also arrange them in a tall line like you've done already. (If you remove your keyframes from your video clips but keep them in their vertical arrangement, you're already halfway there with option 2.)

Hi Phillip, thank you for the answer - I was having a similar issue as lon3rism. I created an adjustment layer above my video layers as you suggested, and applied 'transform' to scale them down. This worked fine. But now when I reposition the clips, they get cropped as if there was a border, as if the visible display had been scaled down together with the adjustment layer. Any ideas on how to solve this?
Thank you very much for your help.

When you're working with the Transform effect, be sure that you're only making adjustments to the Transform properties and not the layer motion properties (Reset these if you've altered them). Also, be sure your adjustment layer is the same size as your sequence.
