Hey, I am wondering if it is possible to select all of these clips, and shorten them (keeping them together with no space between) to fit between the markers I have (I have circled in orange in the attached photo).

Thanks for any assistance with this or ideas.

Yes, you can select the clips and right click on them and choose Speed/Duration (Ctrl+R/Cmd+R) and in the dialog set the length and most important check the Ripple Edit, Shift Trailing Clips.

Thanks for your reply!

When I try this,

Hmm, i tested it in Premiere Pro 13.1.5 before i posted. I re-tested today and used multiple layers with different duration on some clips and that gave me the very same result.

What you can do with the gaps now is to lock all tracks but one and right clicking and choose Ripple Delete to close each gap. Yes, tedious and time consuming.

In Keyboard shortcuts, there is an unassigned shortcut for "Close Gaps." Use the search bar to find it. Set it to a shortcut key combination, I use Shift+Command+Delete (on a mac). Close your Keyboard shortcuts menu. Go to your timeline and select your clips with the gaps and then use the new keyboard short cut you just set up. It will delete all those gaps at once.

This sounds like a perfect solution. When I tried typing it into the keyboard shortcuts though, the only shortcuts that have gaps are these ones: premiere qu.png

Do you know if it would be under something else?

It's 'gap' not 'gaps'. What version are you using, (it's available in Help/About). The default colors have been changed to blue some time ago. It looks like the old color scheme?

Thanks for replying. The same 2 options appear when I type in "gap" also.

The version I have is Adobe Premiere CC version 7.0.0
