Hello to everyone!
Cannot find a solution myself.
I need to draw two lines with a PEN TOOL to appear at the very beginning of the Sequence.
I need a title to appear later.
However, all these graphic elements appear on the same layer with no possibility to modify the timing.
I'm sure I did something wrong, but I cannot figure out what in particular.
Will be very grateful for any ideas!
Thanks!
Hi Olga_B5414,
Welcome to the community! When you create a shape using the Pen tool, Premiere Pro automatically creates a Graphics layer on the timeline. This layer is selected by default, allowing you to make further changes to it.
If you want to add a second line or shape on a different Graphics layer, you need to deselect the current Graphics layer in the timeline (just click anywhere in the empty space on the timeline). Doing this ensures that a new Graphics layer is created, which you can

You should be able to select each specific item in the Properties panel and time it as you wish... is that not working?

When I add a line - a graphic layer appears. When I add the second line - it appears on the same layer. When I put a play head on a position, when I want a title to appear, and type ot with a TEXT TOOL - this text box which also appears on the same layer at the beginning of the sequence (

Hi Olga_B5414,

If you want to add a second line or shape on a different Graphics layer, you need to deselect the current Graphics layer in the timeline (just click anywhere in the empty space on the timeline). Doing this ensures that a new Graphics layer is created, which you can animate separately.
Alternatively, you can add multiple shapes and text to the same Graphics layer and animate them individually in the Effect Controls panel. Even though these elements are part of the same layer, they will appear as separate entries in the Effect Controls panel, giving you the ability to animate each one independently.
Hope it helps.
Thanks,
Sumeet

Hi Sumeet,
Thank you so much! It worked!
I did not notice that I had not deselected the layer that is why all graphics I created stuck together (
RE: Alternatively, you can add multiple shapes ...
Got it. If I do not need to separate these elements in time, I can use this option too. Correct?
Yesterday, out of despair, I found another solution: I duplicated that layer which contained Text and Shapes, placed it where I needed and removed the line shapes ))
Thank you again!
All the best,
Olga

You can do pretty complex animations, really, within one main graphic.
Have say two animated layers, doing different things ... then group them, and animate that as a group. And on and on ...

Oh, this NEST/GROUP options are magical and make things much easier when trying to make smth complex) And fewer layers to work with.
