What does "unnumbered markers" mean in the Automate to Sequence menu? How to understand which is numbered and which is not?

Unnumbered markers means the images are set to the sequence markers (which do not have a number)

AFAIK Numbering markers is something from the past and no longer available.

The online Help fails to mention anything about Automate to sequence.

John, lol,

Kevin was just responding to Ann's point about information in the guide. Ordinarily, we should be able to point to information about basic operations in the online guide or other references.

To be clear, I think the answer to your question (stated or implied above) is that a) there are no numbered markers, implying that b) your options are to place sequentially or using unnumbered (regular) markers.

I did locate the online guide information about "Automate to Sequence," but I do not think that it answers your question directly. It would appear to me that the option should not say "At unnumbered markers" but just "At markers."

The guide information is in a section called "Add clips to a sequence automatically" here:

https://helpx.adobe.com/premiere-pro/using/adding-clips-sequences.html

There is a tutorial here:

https://helpx.adobe.com/premiere-pro/how-to/storyboard-edits.html

Ann, as you know, I share the frustration finding guide information. I used these 3 methods this time:

Did not find: search for -> premiere pro helpx "automate to sequence"

Found: search for -> site:https://helpx.adobe.com/premiere-pro "automate to sequence"

Found: open the last pdf reference guide, do a search for "automate to sequence," figure out which section of the guide has the information ("Add clips to sequences"), go look for that in the online guide left side contents.

Regular searches find the tutorial and similar options (Youtube especially). But nothing in the guide itself.

Stan

Thank you for the answer, Stan.

I got that Kevin pointed out Ann flagging this issue, but if it weren’t for me, you wouldn’t have raised this issue in principle and no one would have reported this User Guide shortcoming
