question 1 ) I have not so slow laptop and want to optimize the workflow
Need the consequences of deleting such files I have been doing in the last couple of weeks in order to speed up running the Premiere

1) AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Common

Media Cache Folder
Media Cache Files Folder
Peak Files Folder
PTX Folder

after editing the short film with after lumtri colors & essential sound adjustment on the timeline

as well as cleaning the
Adobe Premiere Pro Video Previews
Adobe Premiere Pro Audio Previews
Adobe Premiere Pro Auto-Save
Adobe Premiere Pro Captured Audio
Adobe Premiere Pro Captured Video

before actually pre rendering

as I don't want to re-adjust the  lumtri colors & essential sound  on the timeline

please

thank you in advance in explaining how each folder will be effected if I delete them
ie:
Media Cache Folder
Media Cache Files Folder
Peak Files Folder
PTX Folder
Adobe Premiere Pro Video Previews
Adobe Premiere Pro Audio Previews
Adobe Premiere Pro Auto-Save
Adobe Premiere Pro Captured Audio
Adobe Premiere Pro Captured Video

2) Question 2
In what? other ways?
I would improve and optimize the editing to speed up the process in Premiere since it is getting slower and slower in every minor or major update other than the usual proxy suggestions?

ps I have been using the prores422HQ   in a 16Gb ram  i7 ssd laptop

All folders will be recreated on opening the project.

I would never delete auto save unless project is finished.

If you delete video/audio preview all rendered (green) clips on timeline will have to be rendered again.

If you delete media cache, all clips have to be reconnected to their original files.

This doc explains the media cache:

The Definitive Guide to Adobe Premiere Pro's Media Cache — Jason Cox

In other words, deleting those folders won't improve editing speed but rather adding time to your workflow.

1)What if I have decided not to use some clips already imported
aren't they a burden for the project cache folders?
2) Link provided is not working
3) How about the Peak Files Folder & PTX Folder?
they are not supposed to include the removed clip details, right?
4) In what other ways I would improve and optimize the editing to speed up the process in Premiere since it is getting slower and slower in every minor or major update other than the usual proxy suggestions?

1)  Yes

3) The Peak Files are needed to generate the audio waveforms.  If you delete them, you will need to wait for them to be recreated when you open the project.

4) What are the complete computer specs, including hard drives (how many, what kind, what is on each,     what capacity, and how full)?
If NVIDIA graphics, make sure to use the latest Studio Driver from NVIDIA (NOT the Game Driver).

I have 2gb graphic card, 16gb ram, 1/2 full 475gb ssd, i7, 11th gen, latest nvidia driver as of 2 months ago, project files on an external hdd with plenty of space

so let's get back to my orginal question again:
considering I occasionally remove some of the already imported files into project folder,

I need to know the consequences of deleting the following folders
after lumetri colors & essential sound adjustment on the timeline
"No prerender yet since I am in the middle of the (422 ProresHQ setting) project"
Adobe Premiere Pro Video Previews
Adobe Premiere Pro Audio Previews
Adobe Premiere Pro Auto-Save
Adobe Premiere Pro Captured Audio
Adobe Premiere Pro Captured Video

Media Cache Folder
Media Cache Files Folder
Peak Files Folder
PTX Folder
Adobe Premiere Pro Video Previews
Adobe Premiere Pro Audio Previews
Adobe Premiere Pro Auto-Save
Adobe Premiere Pro Captured Audio
Adobe Premiere Pro Captured Video

Which settings need to stay as they are if  I don't want to re-adjust the lumtri colors & essential sound on the timeline

Question 2)
In what other ways
I would improve and optimize the editing to speed up the process in Premiere since it is getting slower and slower in every minor or major update other than the usual proxy suggestions?

What kind of hard drive is the external drive?

How is it connected?

What is the capacity?

How full is it?
