How to reveal multiple lines of text on the same line...

I want to have 3-4 different lines of text fly in....the first one flies in..... then out, then the second one flies in...and out..... and on and on....

I've searched for this on google and on these forums, but i'm starting to wonder if there's a word for this that i don't know. i've tried every word combination.....

the obvious choice is have multiple text lines on top of each other, each with different key frame assignments. I could do that, but i wanted to see if there's a more efficient/organized way to do it, since it doesn't really scale if i want like >4 text lines coming in and out.

thanks!

I went to lunch and thought about it. over fish and chips i came up with the answer:
I do need X number of text objects.... HOWEVER.....
If I establish my timeline initially, then create each of the individual keyframes as i go, then i won't ever have X number of text objects stacked on top of each other.

thanks!
