How to start all over again with captions

Because I'm deaf, I generate captions to follow along with the voice. I will either export them or just turn them off and export.

I generated captions and then had to do a series of edits to the project. I tried deleting all of the captions to allow PP to generate a brand new series of captions so I could then follow along with this new version.

The problem is I couldn't figure out how to do this. I deleted the CC video track and then tried to do the generate thing again but it kept generating all of the captions from the previous version, including CC's that were no longer on the timeline because of the new edits.

Can someone tell me how to fix this?

In the transcript tab, 3 dot menu, pick re-transcribe. Then create the Captions from that.
