I'm so frustrated right now.
Working on a couple quick video projects and am attempting to import video files and they are only importing audio. The video portion of the file WILL NOT import. I've attempted encoding them differently, changing file names, opening in Quicktime and resaving, deleting Premiere and reinstalling, using a different encoder, and other recommendations that I've found across the Interwebs. Nothing is working.
For the amount I'm paying for this subscription, I don't feel it's too much to ask for this product to do something that I managed incredibly well even a couple of weeks ago on a previous project...I don't have the time to spend additional hours working on this when it seems such a natural and huge component, aka THE WHOLE PURPOSE OF THIS APPLICATION --> video creation.
Any tips or should I go ahead and cancel my subscription in order to purchase one of the many alternatives out there?

Hi Michael Henson,
Sorry for the frustration. Can you make sure your audio and video tracks are properly patched? FAQ: Why does audio or video not go to the track where I drop it? Let us know if you need help with that.
Thanks,
Kevin

Is this a new thing? I've NEVER had this issue before and it's now consumed about 4 hours of my life just in troubleshooting and multiple re-attempts...

No, I always look down at my Timeline to make sure tracks are appropriately patched before inserting or overwriting clips into the timeline. That's very important. The timeline does not know if you want your clips to be edited into V1 V2 or V3. You have to set it that way. This comes in very handy when using keyboard shortcuts.
Was that your issue?
Thanks,
Kevin

Well it would definitely be a New thing if KMs answer related to "importing video files" ....ie as into a PPro Project.
If your issue was inserting or overlaying into a Sequence Timeline. Not a new thing at all.
I think KM parsed your question and got you your solution. Good work KM.
