Imported Video Clip Changes Language

New Here ,

Hi! I'm attempting to produce short video clips out of movies for academic purposes. When I import the raw video file into Premiere Pro, the movie plays in dubbed Spanish rather than in the English of the default file. How can I get Premiere Pro to recognize the English audio track when importing video files?

Thanks in advance!

Are these movies from DVD? You may need to find the Englsh audio file.

I fixed it by re-copying the DVD video file from the disc and instructing the copy program to ignore the non-English audio tracks, but I'm still curious as to how to select an audio track when importing a video file into Premiere, or why Premiere automatically picked the dubbed Spanish audio track to import when three video players did not.

raw video file

a RAW file is a unprocessed registration by the sensor of a camera; like a digital negative.

I used the wrong word; I meant raw in it's non-technological sense, but thank you 😛

The multiple audio tracks (subtitles, etc) are all in the vob. PR will not import multiples. You must use another program to demux the vob.
