New Here ,
Sep 29, 2025 Sep 29, 2025

Bonjour

I don't think that driver (used for burning DVDs) is compatible with Windows 11.

Two ideas that MAY work to install and/or run old programs in Windows 10 or Windows 11
-RIGHT click the program icon or EXE and select a compatibility mode in the pop up option window
-and/or select Run as Administrator to assign FULL Windows permissions

I've encountered a well known issue with the driver PxHIpa64.sys on one of my Dell Laptops (no DVD burner ) since upgrading to Windows 11.

It has prevented memory integrity being turned on.

The driver is a common one used by Sonic/Roxio/Corel software  in the past. Its associated with DVD/CD burner software.

I do not have any of that software on my PC - just Encore , so yes, it looks as though Encore uses that driver as well.

Microsoft have not released any updates in Windows 11 for this driver ...yet. Will they ever?

As such, the driver can be removed or renamed 'Old' to prevent it loading. This will disable DVD functions most probably.

Take care in renaming any driver and take a back up of it first.

It is normally located at :

C:\Windows\System 32\Drivers\PxHIpa64.sys

I have an older Windows 10 machine with BluRay and DVD burners so just can take the Encore completed files to that machine for a final burn.

Adobe Encore is well out of support now so a work around is required.

Just to add .....  that on testing my ASUS based system (was Windows 10 now Windows 11) the problem does not appear, which has Encore installed and DVD/BR drives.

Seems the driver issue users report is usually on DELL machines.

Looking on web support DELL do not seem to offer a solution other than using the PC with memory integrity off.
