Just wondering if the early adopters out there -- you know who you are -- are having any issues with the new version of Mac OS X and the latest builds of the Adobe appsbeta
There are a bunch of reports on the web of problems with early Beta versions of El Capitan, but nothing recently -- and certainly nothing I can find since the OS' release this morning.
I'm torn: I want to upgrade immediately. But I also know the rule about waiting for the 0.1 update before updating system software...
Some positive reports would go a long way to ease my fears....
WG,

We aren't recommending installing it yet if you're using Premiere Pro CC 2015.0.2, or earlier: Premiere Pro CC and OS X El Capitan | Premiere Pro work area
Stay tuned to the team blog for updated info.
If you have installed it already, you may run into issues related to the new version of OS X. There are always some issues

A new bug-fix release for El Capitan, 10.11.2, has been released to developers for Beta testing. As Kevin notes, the 10.10.1 update did solve some of the problems with some Adobe CC software, and maybe this will help some as well. Maybe.

I was just on Adobe Tech support chat with one of your guys trying to trouble shoot a crashing problem with Premiere Pro CC and it's so bad he just left the chat with no explanation Lol. What's going on here Adobe?

You might want to ask Apple Official | Apple Support Communities
They have already released a 10.11.1 bug fix, and 10.11.2 is in Beta

As someone who's been working freelance with Adobe products you NEVER update an OS until at least 6 months after the release. Anyone working with clients, deadlines and revisions on projects knows this. It's not Adobe's fault it's your own impatience.
The same applies to updating Adobe Software, you don't update your software until you've got a clean switch over. Even then you keep the last version installed incase of revisions.
Stop acting like kids at Christmas, you don't HAVE to have this new OS update, these things will always have problems upon initial release so just leave it a while before installing.

I upgraded and ever since I have no access to the fonts I synced. I open up Creative Cloud and it just spins and spins as if it is loading. Which totally sucked because a project that I was working on, needed one tweak, not font related and when I opened it there was no way to save the tweak without defaulting back to Myriad Pro or something. Very frustrating. I tried everything, but CC seems to be the point of failure.

Hi John,
Go to Activity Monitor. select all processes from View menu. Close all Adobe Services like Creative cloud, Desktop app, Core Sync, CCLibrary etc.
Once done. Open CC app again and try to sync. Hope it helps.

jojackovin, I encountered the same issue. This helped me regain access to TypeKit:
If you see an infinite spinner in the Fonts tab of Creative Cloud, run these steps to fix the problem:
1. quit the Creative Cloud desktop application
2. from the Go menu in the Finder, choose Go to Folder
3. paste in this path and click Go:
~/Library/Preferences/
4. In the window that opens, you should see a list of files including com.adobe.accmac.plist
5. click on com.adobe.accmac.plist and rename it com.adobe.accmac.plist.old. You'll be asked to confirm that you want to change the extension to .old.
6. start the Creative Cloud desktop application again.

That's awesome! Totally worked. Thanks! Was looking for the "Correct" link to click but didn't see it so I'll comment. Thanks so much.

I'M SO SCREWED!
Prior to me upgrading to El Capitan I was having all kinds of problems with Adobe apps not opening, so I figured it was because they just updated and worked better with El Capitan. I did a complete wipe of my HD then clean install of the OS and just installed Photoshop, Illustrator and DreamWeaver, however now DreamWeaver won't even open. Photoshop and Illustrator are working okay at least.

I agree with makeitmove‌ and I too would never upgrade until I knew Adobe products were compatible but from memory I don't remember waiting this long for a compatibility update.

Yes it's best to wait before upgrading, but this is poor service from Adobe. Part of the selling point of a monthly CC subscription was to release fast updates for both new features and bug fixes. To have to wait 6 months, as was suggested above, is archaic. (Disc updates were every year, remember?)
I'm sure there are some things in 10.11 that could have been a surprise for Adobe, and I'm sure Adobe has their own release schedule looking at CC 2015 pt2 (which is supposed to be out around now, right?) But Adobe is acting like a small software company here. Regardless of where the *blame* is, I would think Adobe would better set expectations—and make things right—for one of their largest and most loyal user groups: creatives running Mac OS.
Can you see Bohemian Coding waiting this long to update Sketch?
I'd like to install OS X as I have new hardware from Apple I want to use. Also, any ideas on when the new CC + Photoshop is to be released? (The one announced in early October 2015?)

I completely agree. It's been almost two months since El Capitan came out, and the fact that Adobe still hasn't resolved this problem is unacceptable. And there's still been no indication of when we can expect this to be resolved. Instead it's repeatedly (albeit passively) suggested that it's our fault for upgrading too quickly, and that we should submit bug reports if we want anything to get fixed. (The bug report submission process is a pain in the ass, btw.)
This issue should be the top priority for Adobe, but it sure doesn't feel that way.

Did you install the Apple El Capitan update of about 2 weeks ago?
Other with issues did and seemingly their issues were fixed. Not that many came back and said so though! (No surprises there.)

Cloud based software is clearly creating a demanding developmwnt cycle. Apple are top of the food chain, they don't need to ensure their product works with 3rd parties, and they put out an OS every year just to sell more MacBooks. Its a marketing gimmick, they create a 'buzz'.
Personally I have no desire to update to latest OS in the first 6 months it's out, I don't feel that 'buzz' for Apple products and OS upgrades that some of you clearly do, I get a buzz for improved Adobe products!
Are we forgetting what Adobe do here. They develop creative tools, awesome ones.
The whole need for instant compatibility with OS problem diverts their resource to a problem Id sooner see fixed slower so more resource can be spent on creating awesome new features.
im not denying there's a problem, but id rather sit on Yosemite for a year and have Adobe use more resource to improve the actual tools!

Does Adobe plan to release an update to Premiere Pro CC 2015 anytime in the 2015 calendar year? Repeatedly telling users to DOWNGRADE your machine is not a viable solution. That approach is about as bad as the restrictive Avid system requirements, but without the advanced notice and 100% clear system requirements list being provided ahead of time...

Dear God, do not update! Since I've switched to El Capitan, I've had the following issues with the Adobe suite.
1) Photoshop and Lightroom don't open at all. They just crash immediately. Every time.
2) Premiere crashes a LOT.
3) Upon opening Premiere, it takes anywhere from 10 to 20 minutes to re-link footage. I've probably wasted over an hour today alone (out of 3 hours on the job) because of the crash and re-link issue.
4) I've only run into one problem on Audition, but that doesn't mean there aren't more. Every time I click the settings for an effect on the effects rack (Hum Remover, I think) the program crashes.
5) There are also issues with rendering on Premiere. It adds graininess to anything with an effect on it, but it doesn't appear in exports.
6) Buttons randomly stop working on Premiere, such as space bar or right click. Sometimes you can fix it by undocking the panel and moving it to your other monitor (if you're working on 2+ monitors).
These are just the problems I encounter every day. There are most likely many more. I had zero issues before I switched to El Capitan. I'm so irritated that it's been over six weeks since release, with no update from Adobe. I'm also irritated that Apple would release an update without making sure it works with the Adobe suite, since it's used so widely in video, audio, and photo editing.

Justin, I tend to agree with you about Apple. They can't be expected to test a new OS with every application out there, but it's absurd that they would release something that breaks such critical application suites as Adobe and Microsoft Office. I don't mean to absolve Adobe of all responsibility either; they send us email often enough but I don't recall seeing any warnings. In fact, I remember seeing some things a number of months back suggesting that El Capitan was going to improved performance. I feel like Casey Stengel: "Can't anybody here play this game?"
Fortunately I'm still running 10.10.5 on my machines, but what about people who just bought a new computer with El Capitan pre-installed? Saying "wait 6 months to upgrade" doesn't help them. Yes, it's possible to downgrade to Yosemite, but it requires backing up and restoring everything.

Wow!!!
I can't believe this; there was a camera raw plugin update that appeared in my creative cloud. I stupidly updated thinking this may at least sort some of the issues I've been experiencing. Instead it has 100% crippled premiere. I can't do a thing with it. It seemed like the most innocuous of updates yet it has ruined what was already broken. Thanks adobe, great job!
