So I'm trying a somewhat ambitious but simple enough edit, a video of me in the center of a huge still photo, starting zoomed in fully on the video and as you zoom out you see more of the still photo and I get smaller and smaller in the center of the screen (images to explain attached).
I thought it would simply be a matter of putting an adjustment layer over the two clips and zooming in the adjustment layer and keyframing a zoom out. But when I scale up the adjustment layer in this way both images become pixelated and low res. After looking into why there is a technical reason behind it. But is there a solution?
When zoomed in individually (on one clip itself, not both with an adjustment layer or nest) they can zoom in way farther and still have perfect resolution, but if I were to keyframe zoom outs for both clips individually it would be a mathematical nightmare trying to figure out how to keep the video in the center of the photo where it belongs. Any people smarter than me that can help me figure out a solution? Would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.
Photo 1: full zoom out Photo 2: when zoomed in together using an adjustment layer or nesting, it looks low res/blurry
Photo 3: but the individual clips can be zoomed in even farther with full res/no blur.

Hi @meridianXIII,
Thanks for the note. Sounds like you are having quality issues while working with Scale. Scale degrades the quality of images and video when they are taken above 100%. I see that you are far above 100% for at least one of your footage files. You may need to work with footage that is more closely matched in size. I hope we can help you with this effect.
Thanks,
Kevin
