Hi, I'm editing a project and I have a bunch of footage from the camera guy. He shot with a Red Komodo at ProRes 4K. He said the footage was Raw and I should be able to edit the raw setting in Premiere.
I've been following all the instructions on how to edit Raw footage and it just isn't working with these clips.
When I import the footage and open up the effects control there is no "Master" tab.
I've tried it on Final Cut as well and have the same issue.
I'm I missing something, maybe some software, or a setting in Premiere? Or is it possible the footage I got isn't actually Raw? Is there a way to tell by looking at the codec?
Hello @Andrew27881952wqxv,
Thanks for the message. It’s been a long time since you filed this bug, and I apologize for the lack of a response. Are you still having this issue? If so, the team will need more information from you to reproduce the bug. Can you provide the information required here? How do I write a bug report?
I'll move your post to the Discussions board while we await your information.
Thanks,
Kevin

I've always considered ProRes from the Komodo to be "ready to edit" and better suited for music videos, industrial video, commercials, and social media while REDCODE RAW better suited for feature film or indie film.
From the camera specifications, ProRes from the RED Komodo is either ProRes 422 or ProRes 422 HQ. It's not ProRes RAW and it's not REDCODE RAW.
It's still great picture that can be color corrected.
As far as having the "RED Source Settings" in the Source tab of Premiere Pro goes, I believe it's safe to say that that requires a .R3D file rather than a .MOV file.
