I'm aware you can retrieve it via XMP's URI "Column.Intrinsic.FilePath".
Was looking for a function to partner with...
SomeProjectItem.changeMediaPath(OsPath);
...that would be something along the lines of
SomeProjectItem.getMediaPath();
