Is there a way to preview clips as you move them the same way you preview when you shorten them?

Hey guys I was wondering if this is bugged because it seems like it would be a feature already. Basically I want to know if it's possible to show me a preview of the clip when I drag a clip around the time line the same way it shows me a preview when I am shortening the clip. I have attached a video to try and explain what I mean.
