Is there a way to stop bins from opening in a floating window?

Hi all.

When opening a bin, it creates a new floating window instead of opening in the project pane. It must then be herded around the screen, and even overlaps other panes when you maximize them.  And I can find no way to dock them as a tab in the project pane.

Is there no way to resolve this?

Thanks for any insight.

By default If you hold Ctrl/Cmd when double clicking the bin it will open in place. As Ann Bens commented you can go Edit>Preferences>General and customize Bin settings

You can also re-dock a floating panel by grabbing it by the name tag and moving it to the project panel or any other.

Great, thanks!

The "name tag" method may as well not exist, but the preferences provide good options.
