Issue with UI resizing

Community Beginner ,

Hello,

This is a weird and random issue that I started having with Premiere Pro today (and no other Adobe apps). As you can see in the pictures, my UI randomly resizes when the app loads in. It goes from the typical scale of all my other apps to this humongeous interface that overlaps on itself and makes working on the app impossible. So far I have tried rolling back to a previous version (which worked once but the issue resurfaced once I switched projects again) and reinstalling the program, but to no avail.

Pic 1: As you can see the menubar up top is a normal size/scale

Pic 2: The UI suddenly rescales, as indicated by the wide space between the menu items

Pic 3: How it looks like once I load up the project. As you can see it is completely unusable.

One theory I have is that this is due to the payment info box, but it only seems to effect Premiere Pro if that is the case.

I would appreciate any help, because I am unable to work on my project until I can resolve the issue.

Some specifics:
OS: Windows 10 Pro

Premiere Pro v22.5 (latest)

  1. What resolution are you running?
  2. Do you have any OS Display Scaling turned on?

1. 1920x1080p

2. Yes I have the default 125% on Windows 10. However, this does not effect any other adobe apps.

Can you change Windows scaling to 100% and see if that resolves your issue?

I'm not saying to use this as a permanent solution, I'm trying to determine if scaling is the cause of this issue.

I tried changing Windows scaling to 100%, and while the interface is more usable, I am still running into the same issues. The UI is still clipping and I am unable to resize any section of the UI. Additionally, the menubar is still oddly scaled as shown in the picture.

Premiere (for most users) doesn't like 125% or 175% ... but works at 100, 150, or 200%. At other scalings it gets cranky and misbehaves in at times very odd ways.

Weird but true.

Thanks for the advice Neil, but unfortunately I am still having the same issue when scaling to 100%. The UI is still frozen and I am unable to change or resize any part of the workspace. Something seems to be happening in the loading phase as I can see the menu bar go from normal to large when it loads in (see Pic 1 vs 2 in the post).

First thing is of course saving/closing/rebooting/relaunching. Which occasionally gets odd behavior.

Next is to close the project, dump all your cache files. Relaunch. That catches some things.

Past that, it's down to "Trash Preferences" ...

I tried each of those options just now and none of them have worked. I think it must be something to do with the payment info pop up, because once that loads in I start to get the issues with Premiere.

I've got exactly the same thing. So Premiere is unusable once a bill is overdue now? Really bad timing for me
