Hi @Robert Alan322968436ukv,

I got your note. You can't launch Premiere Pro. Bad news. Sorry about that. Can you tell us more details? Do you hang at the splash screen? What happens? A screenshot would be immensely helpful to help the community troubleshoot this issue. Let us know.

Thanks,
Kevin

Hi @Robert Alan322968436ukv,

Thanks for the info. You say that you are working with a "setup file." Are you talking about the project file? If so, can you open the application and create a new project? If so, try importing the old project into the new one. That can work. Let us know.

Thanks,
Kevin

Here are a few steps you can try to resolve the issue with downloading and starting Adobe Premiere Pro (PP) or Photoshop:

1. Check System Requirements

Ensure your PC meets the minimum system requirements for the Adobe apps you're trying to install. Sometimes, even if your specs are generally high, specific requirements might not be met (like a specific version of an operating system).

2. Update Windows

Make sure your Windows operating system is fully updated. Sometimes, certain updates are required for Adobe products to run properly.

3. Run as Administrator

Try running the Adobe Creative Cloud installer as an administrator. Right-click on the setup file and select "Run as administrator."

4. Disable Antivirus/Firewall

Temporarily disable your antivirus or firewall software. Sometimes these programs can block installations. Remember to re-enable them after the installation is complete.

5. Check for Existing Adobe Installations

Make sure there are no remnants of old Adobe installations that could be causing conflicts:

  • Go to "Control Panel" > "Programs and Features" and uninstall any existing Adobe applications.
  • Use the Adobe Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool to ensure all remnants of previous installations are removed.

6. Clear Temp Files

Clear your temporary files:

  • Press Win + R, type %temp%, and press Enter.
  • Select all files in the Temp folder and delete them.

7. Ensure Sufficient Disk Space

Make sure you have enough disk space on your primary drive (where the OS is installed) and the drive where you intend to install Adobe applications.

8. Install Visual C++ Redistributables

Ensure you have the latest Visual C++ Redistributables installed:

9. Check Internet Connection

Ensure your internet connection is stable during the download and installation process.

10. Reinstall Adobe Creative Cloud

Sometimes a fresh install can solve the issue:

  • Uninstall Adobe Creative Cloud using the uninstaller from "Control Panel" > "Programs and Features".
  • Download the latest version of Adobe Creative Cloud from the official website and reinstall it.

11. Check Event Viewer for Errors

If the installation fails again, check the Event Viewer for detailed error messages:

  • Press Win + X and select "Event Viewer".
  • Go to "Windows Logs" > "Application" and look for error messages related to the Adobe installer.

12. Contact Adobe Support

If none of the above solutions work, it's best to contact Adobe Support directly. They can provide more specific assistance and help troubleshoot the issue.

Common Troubleshooting Commands

Run Disk Cleanup:

Adobe Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool: Adobe Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool

I hope one of these solutions helps you get Adobe Creative Cloud running on your PC yoga. Let me know if you need further assistance!
