Just started noticing this problem and it's driving me CRAZY!
when I set my in and out points on timeline and delete selected footage, Premiere is not cutting the audio and video tracks cleanly at my in and out points. Instead it cuts them at different weird lengths so I end up with gaps and flashes of black screen. I use this all the time when editing and I have no idea why this is happening. Anyone else experiencing?
(above: here's my IN and OUT selected on timeline)
(above: here's what it looks like after I hit delete. Should be clean but you can see audio didn't cut exactly where video did, so if I remove gap there will be a flash of black (no video track).
anyone? help! thanks
That is because the timeline is set to audio units.

I don't use i/o points to delete bits, I use Ctrl-K, or for multiple tracks not linked, I think it's Ctrl-Shift-K. Which cuts everything.
That behavior you're getting I'm not sure why ... hmm.

That WORKED, thanks! I don't know why that setting would affect i/o related editing, but whatever! Thanks for the solution.

Video does not cut on audio units (1/48000 of a sec) only on frames.
