Loud noise at the beginning of every audio clip

Hello!

I'm having a hard time with Adobe Premiere Pro 15.4.

I have multiple audio clips on my timeline, without any effects applied to them. If I play my sequence, after every single cut I can hear a loud noise for less than a second – which wouldn't be there if there weren't any cuts. This is very distracting. If I make a random cut anywhere in the audio the problem gets reproduced at that location.

This is what I tried to fix the problem:

• Remove all attributes from audio clips

• Render audio clips (and everything else)

• Nest audio clips

• Add transitions to audio clips

• Export everything

• Turn everything off and on again

Does anybody have an idea what might be going on?

You didn't mention any specifics about the audio clips. Are they Mp3, WAV? What's the sample rate of the clips?

That's right – it's an MP3. 48 kHz sample rate. I just try to convert it into a WAV and replaced the footage in Premiere, but the problem remains…

The only thing I did to the audio is changing Speed / Duration, with maintained pitch.

Are there any effects used in the track mixer that you might have missed?

If mp3, convert to wav before importing into Premiere Pro.

Delete the Media Cache and Media Cache files:

If that doesn't work, try resetting the preferences:

If that doesn't work, try resetting the Workspaces:
Reset a workspace
Reset the current workspace to return to its original, saved layout of panels.
1. Do one of the following:
• Click the Workspace menu icon and select Reset to Saved Layout.
• Choose Window > Workspace > Reset to Saved Layout.

If that doesn't work, try Preferences > Audio Hardware and set Input to None.

If that doesn't work, try creating a new project and import the old one into it.
