Mask not turning black when I check the Inverted

Hey guys, So I draw my mask. Blue lines show up. I click the inverted box after I draw it and nothing happens. !???!

If I toggle any of the Mask option key frames the blue lines dissapear.

Please help! Thank you!

After toggling any of the Mask keyframes, select the Mask again

and you will see the blue lines.

Can you please tell us what did you apply to the clip above and the adjustment layer?
