Mask not working?

Trying to make everything but the gun model on the right black & white. It was working for this clip and 3 others, but a few minutes later all but one of the clips had dysfunctional masks. Any fixes?

If you are masking manually dont change the amount of nodes: do not add or subtract while masking.

ok I found the problem. I had another black & white effect added onto the video, and once it was removed, the clips were working as they should.
