Dec 23, 2021 Dec 23, 2021

I exported a sequence with Prores 4444 w/ alpha files, and my 15 in Macbook Pro m1 Max is exporting glitches every single time. screen grabs attached, any help would be appreciated - using Software only is also creating glitches.

Why do you need alpha if its all in one frame.

It's not one frame, the text animates in over the video.

I get that. Try without alpha.

Post screenshot export settings.

Media Encoder Export Glitch Prores 4444 w Alpha

This is what the title says.

What you are showing me is not Prores as export setting but the text file is prores.

That was not clear to me at all.

Turn off Hardware encoding, cbr and bump the bitrate.

Ann, sorry for the confusion - I am trying to export an ordinary h.264. the source material on my timeline is prores 4444 w alpha.

turning off hardware encoding, and switching to CBR at 12 mb/s fixes my issue. Should I assume Hardware encoding is unreliable?

with my system - it looks like hardware isn't possible with CBR.

Testing it – exporting straight from premiere (not using media encoder) also showed no glitches. is this something media encoder will fix in subsequent versions?
