Media Encoder the busybody

Why is Media Encloder showing up when I least need it? I don't have an active watch folder, and it doesn't follow the damn preset I build for it. Just a real pain. Anybody else have this issue? Is the interface just a tad clunky?

Is there a comprehensive real-world tutorial on controlling this app until needed?

Wow, that would be annoying ... I have Me set to work in-background in the Prefs, and I've never had that app simply pop up on me. I wonder what the deal is on your system?

And what's the preset you built for it?
