I'm using the latest version of Premiere CC and can't get Immersive Video Transitions to work. When my project setting is "Mercury Playback Engine GPU Acceleration" and I use an Immersive Video Transition, every clip in my entire sequence is affected. That did not happen in the last version and I have not changed anything. If I change the Project Settings to Software Only and use Immersive Video Transitions, I get a message that says "this effect requires GPU acceleration". I have seen others submit a issue similar, but the answer has been to change the Project Settings, I've done that and cannot seem to get JUST an Immersive Video Transition to work. Help!!

Hi lesliek1,
Sorry for your issue. I understand that when you apply VR immersive video transitions, entire sequence gets affected by it. Ideally, it should not happen. Video renderer should always use GPU acceleration for using any VR immersive effect or transition, hence, changing it to Mercury Playback Engine Software Only will not work. Have you tried resetting the preferences? FAQ: How to reset (trash) preferences in Premiere Pro?
Let us know if it helps.
Thanks,
Shivangi

I did try resetting the preferences and it had no impact – the problem still persists!

Hey LeslieK,
Does your GPU driver need an update? What kind of card do you have?

I reinstalled the drivers and now have a new option in my Project Settings - Mercury Playback Engine GPU Acceleration (CUDA). Prior to this the only option I had was Mercury Playback Engine GPU Acceleration (Open CL). It now Immersive video transitions are working! YEAH!!
