Mogrt Installation Failed

New Here ,
Jul 11, 2024 Jul 11, 2024

When I tried installing a Mogrt file I get the pop-up Installation Failed - This Motion Graphics template is not compatible with this version of Premiere Pro. You must update to the latest version of Premiere Pro in order to use this template. But, I'm using the latest version (PP 24.5) I've used these Mogrts on other computers with older versions of PP. Any thoughts?

Hi @Kevin30195831eunu,

Sorry you're running into issues.

  1. Can you tell me how you're installing the mogrt
  2. Which OS are you using?
  3. Can you also DM me the mogrt to check out?

Thanks,

Theresa

Hi Theresa,
Thank you so much for getting back to me so quickly.

1. I uploaded the mogrt in the Essential Graphic panel with the + at the bottom to add a Motion Graphic Template. The mogrt is saved locally to my computer.
2. I'm running Windows 11 pro with 12th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-1235U 1.30 GHz processor, 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor, and 16gb of RAM.
3. Mogrt is attached here.

Thanks!

Hi Kevin! I think the forums may have eaten your attachment, could you try again? If it's over the size limit, try a third party service like Google Drive.

Cheers,

T

Thanks that download did work, however there is something corrupted with the file itself. (I could not extract the zip, could not open it in After Effects)

Do you happen to have the AEP used to create the mogrt? If so, please collect the project, zip, and send over so I can dig into what's going on.

Do you also know what versions of Premiere Pro have previously worked to install and use this mogrt?

Unfortunatly I don't have the AEP used to create the mogrt. I believe it was PP 2020 that I last opened these with.

Hi @Kevin30195831eunu

Unfortunately, I could not get this mogrt to work with any version of Premiere, couldn't extract it in any version of After Effects, nor unzip the archive on either Win or Mac. I think the file itself has become corrupt.

Mogrts ultimately are a renamed zip file and some cloud storage in the past have caused issues with them, so I'm wondering if there's an issue with the storage location itself.

Was this the only old mogrt that has this issue? Where are the mogrts being stored (server/cloud storage/etc)

Thanks for any info!

Theresa
