Hello community,
I edited 4K footage in Premiere Pro on a cheap HD screen. I had no problems with moire effect during editing and also after export on that screen. Then I watched the exported files on two different TV screens. The picture was darker on the small TV screen, but no moire. I had lots of moire on the bigger TV screen. The picture was also darker. The moire appeared at vertical lines (e.g. cobblestones or window shutter). Why does the moire only appear on one TV screen? Is it related to resolution or the system itself (interlaced)?
Another question: Is there a way to preview my exported files on a TV screen simulation? Some software which runs on PC or MAC. I dont want to buy a TV, just need a hack to set up correct brightness for TV, and if possible to check if moire is gone.

Did you export in 4K? Were those 4K TVs you were watching on?
If any kind of scaling is going on, that could introduce moire.

Good hint. I scaled to 1080p. Will check the specs of the TV.

I just found out: The model of the TV is TX-40 DSW 504 A+ (LED, 1.920 x 1.080 Pixel).

The area with moire is marked with orange boxes.

I have my doubts about this, looks more like compression artifacts.

I have simillar question.
WHY some sharp 4K video flickering when panning? First of all on forest with many trees or gravel rocks panning?
Example Italian Dolomites - Fall in the Alps - 4K Nature Documentary - Episode 2 - YouTube from 15 minute(set 4K)
Also my own videos are flickering sometimes.
I have spend many many hours with 25 to 50 or 60 FPS decoding. Also Flicker removal, field order anti flicker, lot off plugins like deflicker, auto levels, video moire,...I have 3 types 4 K not professional video kameras.
Only one help but contraproduktive - desharpen video -10 or -20.
I think it is done by camera senzor. Probably it is video moire. What can I do with this? I have lot of nature videos.

This is not moire but bad compression.
