Moire Pattern in Etchings and Line Art

I'm editing historical videos that make use of black/white etchings or wood carvings. If we do any animation on these images we get moire buzzing in certain spots depending on the direction of the lines.

Every tip or tutorial I can find to remove moire patterns relies on there being color information in the video. Any suggestions for purely black&white line art?

Pushing in, or animating vertically or horizontally creates buzzing patterns in different spots in the art.

Adding a blur, or using a median effect doesn't really produce pleasing results. (by the time you blur away the moire, the line art looks bleah.)

Film the push, instead of faking it in post.

These are digital assets, not physical originals. Can't film them.

Got it.  When you said etchings and wood carvings, I assumed just that.

The only other thing I can think of would change the work itself - make the lines thicker.  (It's their fineness that's causing the moire.)
