I want to create a monochrome clip in Premiere and all the video tutorials I've seen say to just turn Saturation to 0 and adjust the Light sliders.  I would like to control it more like you can in Photoshop.  I'd like the skin tones to be light rather than middle gray.  How would I achieve that?  I use Nik Silver Effects in Photoshop, but I think it's making the red channel lighter.

One way is to use two layers of Lumetri. You turn off Saturation in the lower, second layer.

And can use the color controls, especially the Hue V Luminance, Hue V Saturation curves, and the HSL Secondary tab in the upper layer of Lumetri.

You can do tonal things in neither or both. Many would do tonal in that lower, second instance but it's up to you.

There are other ways that I'm sure will get added in.
